From the Wild Goose Studio in Kinsale, Co. Cork, a group of skilled craft workers and designers bring us these unique handmade creations. Hand-made in Ireland, with a bronze finish. Measures 6" high. The Penal Cross dates back to the 18th century Ireland. Penal crosses have shorter arms so that they were able to be hidden in the hand or up the sleeve from fear of being discovered during the persecutions the Irish suffered from the English during the 18th Century
